The Tuscora Chapter of the
International Association of Administrative
Professionals®
The Tuscora Chapter of IAAP received its charter on June 8, 1979, at which time 36 regular and provisional members were installed. While the chapter is located in the New Philadelphia/Dover area, members are from the various cities and villages throughout Tuscarawas County. The Chapter name is derived from the county name Tuscarawas, which is an Ottawa Indian word meaning "river crossing."
Business/dinner meetings with educational programs are held the fourth Tuesday of each month, September through June. Guests are always welcome to attend our meetings and become better acquainted with IAAP and our chapter members and officers.
During Administrative Professionals Week in April, activities are planned by the Tuscora Chapter to give recognition to secretarial/business students of the area high schools and colleges in the form of scholarships.
In addition to regular monthly meetings, IAAP members are eligible to attend a variety of meetings, workshops and seminars held during the year, including:
- Spring Conference in March
- Administrative Professionals Week/Day Events in April
- Ohio Division Annual Meeting in June
- International Education Forum and Annual Meeting in July/August
